April 18th Troop Meeting @ Legion

Posted on Apr 15 2017 - 10:43pm

We will be planning menus and activities for the upcoming Webelos Woods.  We will also be working on our camporee camp "entrance gate."  The PLC had some great ideas about a Harry Potter themed entrance.  We could use some large cardboard pieces- the bigger the better (think applicance box size).    See you then and don't forget your scout book!

A special message from our newest Eagle Scout!

Posted on Apr 15 2017 - 10:26pm

Hello,

I would like to thank everybody who came to my Eagle Court of Honor to help me celebrate- it was a very special moment that I will always remember. Also thank you to everyone who helped me on the trail to Eagle- especially those who volunteered to help me with my Eagle project. I couldn't have done it without all of your help and support.

Southern Skies District Webelos Woods Tent Camping Trip

Join us for our first tent camping of the year.  This will be a great chance for younger boy scouts to complete many of their requirements on the path to 1st Class.  Scouts will also be able to work on one of two merit badges, or their Cyber Chip.

Updated BSA Rank Requirements

Posted on Apr 8 2017 - 10:46pm

In 2015, the BSA announced new rank requirements (see attached).  With some restrictions, Scouts could continue work using the existing rank requirements through the end of 2016.  All scouts should now be working on the new requirements.  For our newest scouts (those that joined last year or this year), they have the new book with the new requirements.
